Jack of all trades, master of accounting

I would have majored in art (or at least grammar and spelling, if that were a major), but I'm notoriously risk averse, and accounting sounded (A) safe and (B) like something I could do.  Unfortunately, I learned quickly that I couldn't reconcile my passion for color and other frivolousness with the drab, dull, serious world of the accounting industry, and after running from three accounting jobs in downtown Honolulu, I gave up on the idea of ever having a traditional career. Being a professional failure came as quite a shock to me, as I was used to being at the top of my class and always just assumed success was a given. Luckily, it turns out I'm so well rounded that I can earn enough from random projects to survive without having to specialize. Now I keep busy with a different project every day and never have to answer to anyone about the fact that I wear green lipstick.  Life could be a lot worse.
